A BESS high-voltage box has many tight connections around contactors and precharge branches. Each terminal must survive continuous current, switching transients and assembly-tool loads without confusing hardware drift with a battery or software fault.
Classify main, precharge and sensing paths
Main paths are governed by continuous current and fault duty; precharge paths by resistor, capacitor and switching transients; sensing terminals by shielding and low noise. Classify them first, then select bar thickness, terminal form and land pattern.
Keep lock-up force away from the SMT solder joint
Contactor and fuse screws create axial and torsional loads. Use mechanical stops, backside support, reinforced copper or a separate transition bar to carry those loads, then verify joints and end voltage drop after reflow.

State system voltage, branch current, precharge time, fuse specification, insulation spacing, enclosure sealing, harness direction and maintenance method. Supplier records should tie material lot, finish, dimensions, voltage drop and inspection results together.
