Mobile robots combine limited battery space, repeated motion and fast pack replacement. Busbars and quick-disconnects need a controlled mechanical datum so vibration and service handling do not become electrical failures.

Reserve space for movement and service

Map cell, fuse, contactor, charger and motor paths in the complete pack. Include harness bend radius, cover clearance, connector float and a tool path before choosing a flat bar, formed jumper or Cu-Al transition.

Validate vibration, insertion and temperature together

Measure resistance and rise while the pack is at maximum load, then repeat after vibration and quick-disconnect cycles. A joint that passes a static torque test can still drift when the pack is removed repeatedly.

  • Define insertion direction, force, wipe and cycle count
  • Check spring force, finish wear and polarity keying
  • Record enclosure tolerance, foam preload and free span

Give the supplier a service-ready RFQ

Include pack voltage, continuous and peak current, connector cycles, environment, sealing, target mass, annual volume and packaging direction. Request lot records for material, dimensions, plating, resistance and end-of-line inspection.
